About SIRA

The Society of Information Risk Analysts (SiRA), established in 2011, is the go-to resource for decision makers and practitioners of information risk management. We endeavor to do this by supporting the collaborative efforts of our members through research, knowledge sharing, and member-driven education.

Since the whole of SiRA will always be greater than the sum of its parts, we value, above all else, the participation of our members. We understand that it is their willingness to contribute openly and constructively that will help the Society reach its mission of continual improvement. To that end, SiRA promotes the collaborative efforts of its members by offering a variety of connection methods, online and off, print and electronic, challenging traditional limitations with new technology and passion.

Membership is open to everyone — please Become a Member. Benefits of the membership include access to past SiRAcon and webinar recordings and access to the SiRA Slack workspace.

Our president of the board, Darrell Waurio, can be reached via email at president@societyinforisk.org. The SiRA Board can be reached at board@societyinforisk.org.

As an emerging discipline, information risk management benefits from open dialogue and exchange of ideas; SiRA provides a forum where members can build meaningful, professional relationships that keep them at the top of their profession, explore the most important risk management challenges facing their organizations, and discover how methods from other risk management disciplines can help them meet information risk challenges.
