Abstract: In 2003, Dan Geer presented Risk Analytics: The Future Belongs to the Quants, one of the earliest works that stressed the importance of quantitative security risk assessment. Two decades later, our industry has grown by leaps and bounds, in no small part as a response to that call to action. Among other things, Measuring and Managing Information Risk (Jones / Freund), How to Measure Anything in Cybersecurity Risk (Hubbard / Seiersen), and SiRA for that matter, give evidence that the thesis was correct.
In this webinar, Dan Geer, Doug Hubbard, and Jack Jones will consider how well the industry has performed against Dan's call to action and they will offer ideas and guidance about what remains to be done. This will be a lively and insightful exchange between three of the most distinguished leaders in our field.
